How long will the program take to complete?

The Medical Assistant A.A.S. is a 94 credit program. The degree completion portion of the program takes 55 weeks to complete — or 40 weeks through the accelerated track option. This program is offered to students who have completed a diploma/certificate program in Medical Assisting at Ross or a similar school.

Is financial aid available?

Yes. Whether it’s grants or student loans, our staff of professional financial aid advisors will work with you individually to ensure you get the best financial aid package possible.

What kind of computer hardware/software will I need?

You’ll need a PC that runs on Microsoft Windows 7, 2000, XP, 2003, 2008, or Vista; a Mac that runs on OS X; or a PC that runs on Linux. You’ll also need Internet access with a 28.8K modem or faster, the ability to accept browser cookies, JavaScript, Adobe Flash Player, and Adobe Reader. Will I have to go to campus for any of my classes?

All of your classes will be taken online.

What are the admission requirements?

Applicants to the program must have a high school diploma or GED, and must have completed Ross’ certificate/diploma Medical Assistant program or a comparable program at another school.
